Textured Nail-Art Tutorial

Textured nails look awesome and trendy. Many types of textured nails have also been spotted on the runways.

For the nail-art lovers, today we have a quick nail art post for you! What we tried out is a technique that has been around for a while...Sugar Spun nails. we've put up a step-by-step combination blog and video tutorial to help you achieve the spun sugar look on your nails. The entire process is a bit messy, but it is worth the final look!

Tools you Need:

1. Two contrasting nail paints (Choose the Color you like as a base and the other for the spun texture)

2. Toothpicks and a dish

3. Base coat

Step1: Apply a base coat to all your nails (can be a transparent top coat too). Next apply your choice of color that you would like to be seen as the base. We have used gelish nude pink as the base.

Step2: Make a small puddle of the next shade on a dish and leave it to dry a bit for a minute or two and then stir it with the tooth pick. Soon you will notice a thicker consistency of the nail paint. keep stirring till the nail paint is starting to make strings like in the picture.

Step3: Here comes the messy part that is also equally tricky. Take a little blob of paint from the puddle on the end of your toothpick and take it from one side of your nail, quickly moving it over to the other side stretching the polish as you go. Click on the video tutorial to understand how it is to be done.

Step4: Once you're happy with the amount of sugar spun on each nail, clean the extra nail paint on your skin using a small brush dipped in acetone, or you can apply products like liquid palisade/vaseline on the sides to make the cleaning easier. Wait for the nails to dry completely.

All Done! You're ready to rock these nails!
